Professional Experience

Jake Hamilton received a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering from K-State in 2005. Upon graduation he worked as an electrical designer for Henderson Engineers Inc. in Lenexa, Kansas. In 2007 he transferred to Las Vegas, Nevada, to work with a new team on the design of a large remodel/expansion for the Las Vegas Convention Center and to help start the permanent Las Vegas branch office. In 2013 he moved to Lawrence to lead the engineering team at GPW and Associates. He is currently a licensed professional engineer in 37 states. Hamilton is excited to return to K-State as an instructor in the department of architectural engineering and construction science.

Academic Highlights

Hamilton is an assistant adviser for the Architectural Engineering Institute student chapter and is beginning work toward his master’s degree in architectural engineering.
