Karr has 29 years of experience in the construction field, serving as a plumbing and heating manufacturer’s sales representative for McQueeny-Lock for five years before switching over to the engineering arena.
Paul’s initial foray into engineering was as a plan-expeditor with Larson Binkley Associates, an MEP engineering firm in Kansas City, where he interfaced with city code officials all over the country. This led to project management and prototype development for a number of national chains such as Houlihan’s, Applebee’s, Pizza Hut, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Einstein Brother’s Bagels, Boston Market, The Gap, Old Navy and many more.
Paul sat for and passed the PE exam and became a licensed PE in Texas in 2007. He worked for Hoss & Brown Engineers as the national account manager for QuikTrip since 2008.
Currently, Karr teaches electrical and plumbing classes in construction science and is the co-adviser for the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) student chapter.
